Behind the
build.

We don't do case studies that just look good on slides. Here's actually what happened — the mess, the decisions, and what shipped.

01
Healthcare / Telemedicine

Kashmir Heal

Healthcare in Kashmir had a problem no one was solving elegantly — patients in remote valleys couldn't reliably get appointments, doctors were buried in paper records, and nobody had the full picture. We built the platform that changed that. Not just a booking app. A full medical operating system.

Doctor availability and appointment queue management

"The trickiest part wasn't the tech."
It was designing for users who hadn't used an online health portal before. We did 3 rounds of usability testing with actual patients from Kupwara and Sopore before we got the appointment flow right.
02
Interactive Gaming

Mines

We wanted to see how smooth we could make a web-based probability game. Turns out, pretty damn smooth. The challenge was building a game engine that felt snappy, had satisfying visual feedback, and didn't lag on mid-range phones. We built it in vanilla JS with a custom state machine and Canvas rendering loop.

"We wrote the physics first, then the UI."
The state machine handles 25+ game states cleanly. Multiplier calculations run in a Web Worker so they never block the render thread. Sound synthesis uses the Web Audio API with no external libraries.

Sports & Entertainment

Headshot Paintball

Paintball arenas have some of the worst websites you've ever seen. We fixed that. High-energy design, instant booking workflow, and zero friction between "I want to play" and "my slot is confirmed." The whole site loads in under a second — even on a mobile hotspot.

What changed
3 steps
From landing on the site to completing a booking — no account required
Mobile-first
Most bookings happen from phones — we designed and built mobile-first throughout
Visual identity
High-contrast red, military typefaces, and kinetic hover states that match the vibe
"The brief was: make it feel dangerous."
We did. Heavy typography, fast transitions, red on red-on-black color system, and an arena section that slides in like a tactical map. The booking flow took 4 iterations to nail the right friction level — enough to feel intentional, not enough to lose anyone.
04
Personal / Portfolio

Portfolio of Jay

A developer's portfolio that actually works as a sales tool. We stripped out all the generic "I'm passionate about tech" language and replaced it with proof. Work, skills, and a clear path to contact — in exactly that order.

Design decisions
Minimal
One project per viewport — no grid, no clutter, full attention on each piece
100/100
Lighthouse performance score — static generation, no client-side render delay
Custom
Motion and transition system built from scratch — no Framer Motion dependency
"Kill the hero paragraph."
We removed the intro paragraph three times before it stayed gone. Recruiters and clients don't read them. What they look at: your name, your work, can I contact you. Everything else is noise. We designed around that reality.
